Requests?
Please feel free to submit questions or suggestions on material for the blog. I'm running out of ideas a bit, resulting in just recording life, which isn't all that interesting...

Dude - I like your blog. R u going outside of Kabul? Or do you plan to do some travelling afterwards? Some video interviews with actual inhabitants/ Afghanistanis would be great.
Keep it going, great fun to read. (if you are running out of ideas, take a pause, and regain when u feel ready to report).
Great stuff, J. Liked the reference to Camp Pepin (that brought back some memories) as well as the Ludicrously Crunchy Nuts and Airy Mary. Perhaps they are related?
I like your photos and videos. I'm curious, what is the state of the IT infrastructure in Kabul? Seems you are pretty well connected (cell, TV, internet, etc) - Is that common throughout?
I don't anticipate going outside Kabul. Daud was going to take me with his kids to go fly kites one Friday, but the weather turned out bad. I was thinking before of going to India or something, but I gotta get back for this interview. If I get the job, I'm going to see about heading to Brazil for a week. I do stop in Dubai for a couple days on the way home. Will keep working on the interview footage.
Everyone has a cell phone--leapfrogging wired technology! It's easier to replace a destroyed cell tower than a series of phone lines. Electricity is spotty--the general population gets 2-3 hours a day so many people have generators (contributing to awful air quality).
I still enjoy reading and learning from your first-hand accounts of your life in Afghanistan. I pray that you'll be well soon and that your interview goes well. I encourage you to continue writing your stories. I'm studying a writing course and think that your writing style is unique! Your pics and videos are very interesting, too! Take care!
